Captain Mainul Ahsan comes in as Executive Director of the BMCDL at a time when the organization is going on changes and restructuring. BMCDL has undergone restructuring towards better sustainability, accountability and efficiency.

He has more than two decades of experience in ship management, maritime transport, chemical and supply chain industry. He Held various senior leadership roles at industry leading companies (Stolt Tankers, Shell, V. Ships, ODFJELL, UML) and a veteran experts on dangerous goods handling and chemical safety.

He has gained an appreciation for the breakthrough made in building successful enterprises. He is a professional marine causality and incident investigator, ISO (9K,14K &45K) auditor.

Captain Mainul taking the lead role bring positive changes in the safety, teamwork , personalized service, value, accountability and transparency in our mission to improve efficiency and to increase productivity.

He brings his own set of principles of leadership, teamwork and success; duly tempered in the kiln of formalities. Keeping people foremost is a powerful factor in a company’s success, he believes and he says that this has to be cultivated at all levels with all stake holders.

He has 30 years of experience in shipping and supply chains and one of the respected veteran in the industry. He had worked for Safmarine Line and Kuehne & Nagel before joining BMCDL.  He is with the BMCDL from the very beginning and guided BMCDL to one of the successful ICD of the country.

Cornel Toufiqul joined us in August 2022 to enhance our safety and security. He was one the most decorated officer of Bangladesh Army. He was trained on operational and logistic matters including commando training.  With his vast experience on military and civil career, he added values of safety, security and administrative matters of his level.
